Paul C. Peters, MD
Dr. Peters was known as a world-renowned pioneer in kidney transplant surgery, performing the first kidney transplant in both the Southwest and Rio De Janeiro. He set up the first transplant programs in both Dallas and Rio. Dr. Peters started his career in 1963 when he joined the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical School and also became part of the trauma team that attended John F. Kennedy at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
